If this is the first time meeting with a florist, this task can be daunting to try to figure out what to do once you have gotten your proposal. It may need some changes, but always come back to your florist to figure out what works best for the two of you. It is a team effort!
Here are some tips on getting the most out of your wedding proposal from your preferred florist.
-Tip #1: Most flowers come like clothing- the top tier designer version that " walks the runway" to those that are more reasonable and accomplish the same look and feel for less.
-Tip #2: Many brides love flowers such as peonies, Davis Austin roses, and ranunculus that come at a high price tag. However, many people love them for their high petal count which can be achieved by using other garden roses that come at a much lower cost. Your florist will be able to direct to a great alternative that fits with your vision.
-Tip #3: When you find the floral team that can bring your vision to life, make sure they know your priorities! If you have fallen in love with the Davis Austin roses and can't see using any other rose, consider using that flower in your bouquet and using a more cost effective flower in the bridesmaids bouquets and in the centerpieces.
-Tip #4: Be open and reasonable with your floral budget. On average (according to theknot) the flowers portion of the wedding cost comes to $2,000.
